Clinton Gaels Athletic Booster Association
The purpose of the Clinton Gaels Athletic Booster Association is to support and promote all formal sports activities of Clinton High School and Middle School programs; to encourage and recognize high scholastic achievement, sportsmanship, and character; to contribute to the morale, spirit, and enthusiasm of the student body and the community; and to provide a vehicle for positive involvement by the community with the school.
Clinton Poker League
The Clinton Poker League held it’s first organized game in January 2009. The league schedules it’s seasons around larger poker events such as the World Poker Finals or the Foxwoods Poker Classic so that the winners of each season have the option to play in a larger event.

Fun walk/run fundraiser Maureen Bonin Bedard
RUNWAY wants to see you Thursday, September 16th, at 6:30pm at the Old Timer Restaurant, for a fundraiser for Maureen Bonin Bedard. Fun walk/run for anyone wanting to help this family through a very difficult battle with a very rare form of cancer. No need to be a runner - we will have a short 1/2 mile walk, and a donation table for those not able to run! Come have some fun, food, drinks, DJ - BE THERE!

Classes Begin Week of September 20, 2010
7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. for eight (8) sessions
Location: Clinton High School
Tuition : $60.00 per course
Registration Fee: $5.00 (waived for senior citizens)

Bird 'N Butterfly-A-Thon
Is taking place at Rauscher Farm, and volunteers are needed to gather information on animals, birds and butterflies. The information will be integrated into the Rauscher Farm Land Management Plan. Volunteers are invited to visit on their own schedules to complete sighting checklists and drop them off in the box on the side of the barn. Since the fields will be mowed in late August, keep to the edge of the fields. Bring binoculars, field guidebooks, dress appropriately and take tick precautions. Bird and butterfly checklists are available in the box at the farm and at: Bigelow Free Public Library, 54 Walnut St., Clinton Conservation Commission at Town Hall; and online at www.rauscherfarm.org and www.clintongreenway.org. Artists wanted
For the fifth annual Olde Home Day juried art show. The committee is looking for painters (all mediums), sculptors, photographers, etc. Entry fee is $15. One entry per artist. The event will be at the Museum of Russian Icons, 203 Union St., from Sept. 11 through 25. New this year is an artists' reception on Wednesday, Sept. 8. Light hors d'ouevres and a cash bar will be available. Contact Laura Taylor, (978) 733-1607, or thetaylortrio@hotmail.com, with questions pertaining to the art show. Olde Home Day vendor applications now being accepted
Applications are being accepted for the 11th annual event on Friday, Sept. 10 (4 to 10 p.m.) and Saturday, Sept. 11 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.). There is an early registration discount for signing up by Aug. 1. Applications can be downloaded on www.oldehomeday.com. Patriots Season Ticket Raffle
Sponsored by the Clinton Police Relief Association and the Clinton Police Athletic League, are on sale for $100 per ticket. Only a limited number will be sold. The VIP package includes eight home games, entrance to the Patriots celebrity tailgate party tent, buffet before and after the game and free parking. Thursdays at the Museum
Will present gallery talks at the Museum of Russian Icons, every Thursday through August at 6 p.m. A docent will provide a talk about special themes within the museum's collection. Upcoming talks include: July 29, Mary Hunt, "Solovetsky Monastery"; Aug. 5, Joan Michalski, "St. John the Baptist and the Iconostasis"; Aug. 12, Art Norman, "Holy Monks"; Aug. 19, Kathy Duff, "St. George, His Horse and The Dragon: Six Icons of Russian Beauty, Power and Faith"; and Aug. 26, Larissa Dyan, "Feasts of the Mother of God in Iconography: The Dormition of the Theotokos Icon." Talks are free with museum admission. The museum is open until 7 p.m. on Thursdays.

Clinton Minor League is looking for volunteers
Anyone with children, grandchildren, nieces, or nephews involved in the league is needed as volunteers to help run the concession stand. Call Wendy at (978) 733-1820 and leave name, number and the name of the child involved in the league or email the same information to kruckas@comcast.net.

Back To School Night
Clinton Middle School students, who purchase a Happy or Value Meal from McDonald's on Main Street in Clinton Sept. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. and bring in the receipt to school on Sept. 2, will receive two "Gotcha Gaels" tickets. Proceeds benefit Clinton Middle Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support program
